广西外国语学院欧美语言文化学院成立于2004年，前身为应用语言文化学院。目前开设有英语、法语、西班牙语、德语、翻译、商务英语等六个本科专业。学院坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，以立德树人为外语教育的根本，致力于培养具有家国情怀、全球视野，有专业本领的应用型、复合型的新时代外语人才。为国家发展战略、区域经济文化建设提供人才支持。
School of European and American Languages and Cultures, Guangxi University of Foreign Languages (formerly School of Applied Languages and Cultures) was established in 2004. It currently offers six undergraduate programs, namely English, French, Spanish, German, Translation, and Business English. Guided by “Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”, the school prioritizes “virtue cultivation through education” as the cornerstone of foreign language pedagogy. Committed to cultivating interdisciplinary foreign language professionals with practical expertise, the school aims to develop talents for the new era who possess a deep sense of national identity, global perspectives, and professional skills, thereby providing human capital support for national development strategies and the regional economic and cultural advancement.
欧美语言文化学院历经20年的栉风沐雨，硕果累累。2017年英语专业获广西高等教育自治区级教学成果奖三等奖，2018年获广西民办高校重点支持建设专业项目；2019年西班牙语专业《基础西班牙语（二）》被认定为自治区级一流本科课程，2021年西班牙语专业获省级一流本科专业建设点；2021年翻译专业确立为学校硕士点建设重点专业；2023年“理解当代中国”外语课程思政教学团队获批全区高校课程思政示范基层教学组织；2024年获批教育部产学合作协同育人项目2项，获批为第三批全区高校“三全育人”综合改革示范院系。
With 20 years’ development, School of European and American Languages and Cultures has made remarkable achievements. In 2017, the English major won the third prize of the Guangxi Teaching Achievement Award for Higher Education. In 2018, the English major was selected as a key construction program among private universities in Guangxi. In 2019, Elementary Spanish (II) of the Spanish major was recognized as a first-class autonomous-region-level undergraduate course. In 2021, the Spanish major was awarded the first-class autonomous-region-level undergraduate major development program, and the Translation major was established as a key major for master’s degree program construction at the university. In 2023, the Understanding Contemporary China foreign language curriculum ideological and political teaching team was approved as a demonstrative basic-level teaching unit for curriculum ideological and political education among universities in the region. In 2024, the school was approved for two projects in the Ministry of Education’s Industry-University Collaborative Education Program, and was also approved as a third-batch comprehensive reform demonstration school for Three-Complete Education (all-member, whole-process, and all-dimensional education) among universities in the region.

The school actively promotes teaching reforms and innovations, and leverages artificial intelligence to improve teaching efficiency and student learning experiences. By fostering multifaceted partnerships with enterprises, government agencies, and global partners, the school encourages students to engage actively in professional internships and practical training, while proactively aligning with the socioeconomic development priorities at both national and regional levels.
学生培养质量优良。近年来，学生在“‘外研社杯’·国才杯”全国英语演讲写作阅读大赛、全国大学生英语竞赛（NECCS）、“21世纪杯”全国英语演讲比赛、“外研社·国才杯”“理解当代中国”全国大学生外语能力大赛、中国国际大学生创新大赛、“外教社·词达人杯”全国大学生英语词汇能力大赛、CATTI杯全国翻译大赛、CCTV“希望之星”英语风采大赛、广西高校非通用语种技能大赛等国际国内重大赛事中屡创佳绩。学院注重培养学生“讲好中国故事”的能力，提升学生的跨文化传播能力。近五年，学院毕业生就业形势良好，初次就业率达90%以上。毕业生就业渠道广，出国就业和考研升学比例不断提高，大批毕业生进入外贸、外企、旅游、新闻传媒、中小学和各类训练机构等部门从事与本专业相关工作。
The quality of student cultivation is exemplary. In recent years, students have secured notable awards in various international and domestic competitions, including the “FLTRP · ETIC Cup” English Public Speaking, Writing, and Reading Contest, the National English Contest for College Students (NECCS), the “21st Century Cup” National English Speaking Competition, the “FLTRP · ETIC Cup” National Foreign Language Proficiency Contest for College Students on “Understanding Modern China”, the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition, the “SFLEP · VocabGo Cup” National English Vocabulary Contest, the CATTI Cup National Translation Contest, the CCTV “Star of Outlook” English Talent Competition, and the Guangxi College Non-Common Language Skills Contest. The school places emphasis on cultivating students’ ability to tell China’s story well and enhancing their cross-cultural communication skills. The school maintains an initial post-graduation employment rate exceeding 90% within six months of graduation. Our graduates demonstrate exceptional career outcomes. The rate of those being employed overseas or advancing to graduate programs (including domestic and overseas institutions) has kept increasing, and a large number of graduates have joined sectors such as foreign trade, multinational corporations, tourism, news media, primary and secondary schools, and specialized training institutions, pursuing careers aligned with their academic expertise.
